TYPO3 font

TYPO3 lets you easily customize fonts to match your brand. Whether you’re using a classic typeface or a modern one, changing the font is an ease. Just go to your TYPO3 backend, pick your desired font, and apply it across your site. A good font makes your site more readable and appealing.

Fonts shape the impression of a website and influence readability, load time and data protection. In TYPO3 fonts are usually included via CSS, either as locally hosted files or through external services. For websites in German-speaking countries, local hosting is recommended.

The reason is data protection: if fonts are loaded from external servers, the browser transmits visitors’ IP addresses. Without consent this can be problematic. With self-hosting the files are on your server and no transfer to third parties takes place.

Performance also plays a role. Use modern formats such as WOFF2, load only the weights and character sets needed, and set font-display: swap so that text is visible immediately. Too many font weights noticeably lengthen load time.

For accessibility, font size, line spacing and contrast count. Use relative units so that users can adjust the size in the browser, and choose easily readable fonts for body text. Decorative fonts are better suited to headings.

In TYPO3 you include fonts in the template or the site package extension and keep the files versioned in the file system. Check licences, especially for commercial fonts.

We set up fonts in your TYPO3 project in a privacy-compliant and performant way.

The result is a uniform, easily readable appearance.

Test the display on different devices and browsers, because fonts often look different on smartphones than on the desktop. Also keep a fallback font ready so that texts remain readable even if loading problems occur.

In short: Customize Your TYPO3 Font for a Unique Brand Look.
