TYPO3 Forms

TYPO3 Forms are a feature in TYPO3 that allows you to create and manage forms on your website. You can use them to collect information from users, such as contact details or feedback. With TYPO3 forms, you can easily create and customize forms without having to code. It's a handy tool to make your website more interactive and collect data from visitors.

Forms are the most important point of contact for many websites: enquiries, applications, newsletter sign-ups or appointment bookings run through them. With the integrated Form Framework, TYPO3 offers an editor with which editors create forms by drag and drop without programming.

Typical elements are text fields, selection lists, checkboxes, file uploads and multi-step forms. Validations check entries, for example for valid email addresses or required fields. After submission, data can be sent by email, stored or handed to external systems.

For data protection: collect only necessary information, link the privacy policy and obtain consent where needed. Protect forms against spam with honeypot fields or captcha alternatives that do not burden users unnecessarily.

Accessibility is also important: each field needs a visible label, error messages must be understandable and reachable by keyboard, and the order of fields should be logical. This way everyone can use your form.

Test forms regularly for function and delivery. Check whether notifications arrive or land in the spam folder, and analyse abandonment rates to recognise hurdles.

For more complex requirements, extensions such as Powermail offer additional functions, for example evaluations and exports.

We create forms for your TYPO3 project that are legally compliant, accessible and conversion-strong.

Also plan a confirmation page or thank-you message that shows visitors their request has arrived. This builds trust and enables clean success measurement with analytics tools.

In short: Create Simple Forms with TYPO3 Forms.
