NDA in TYPO3 – Glossary

TYPO3 NDA

A TYPO3 NDA, or non-disclosure agreement, is a legal contract that protects sensitive information. When you work on TYPO3 projects, you may handle confidential data such as business strategies, customer details or proprietary code. A TYPO3 NDA ensures that this information remains private and is not shared with unauthorized third parties. It builds trust between clients and TYPO3 developers and helps everyone involved feel secure when working together. Always read and understand an NDA before signing it, as it sets the rules for how you can use and share important information.

An NDA, in German Geheimhaltungsvereinbarung, is a contract in which parties commit not to pass confidential information on to third parties. In TYPO3 projects it is used when agencies and customers gain access to internal data, concepts, source code or credentials.

Typical content is the definition of confidential information, the duty of confidentiality, the duration of secrecy and exceptions, for example for publicly known information. Rules on the return or deletion of documents after project end and consequences of breaches also belong to it.

An NDA creates trust, especially at the beginning of a cooperation when offers are discussed and requirements disclosed. It protects business ideas, prices, customer data and technical details and enables open exchange without having to fear disadvantages.

The rules of data protection apply in addition. If personal data is processed, an agreement on data processing is additionally necessary. An NDA does not replace it but complements it. Access rights should also be assigned according to the principle of least privilege.

Pay attention to clear wording and reasonable durations. Definitions that are too broad or unlimited obligations can be ineffective. Have important contracts reviewed legally, as this article does not replace legal advice.

In everyday project work, rules for communication and file storage help. Use encrypted channels and protected storage for sensitive documents.

Inform all participants who have access to confidential data about the agreement.

End accesses promptly after the project ends.

We work with customers on the basis of clear confidentiality agreements.

This keeps your information protected.

In short: TYPO3 NDA: Protecting Confidential Information.
