Iteration in TYPO3 – Glossary

TYPO3 Iteration

In TYPO3, an iteration is a way to improve your website step by step. Think of it like taking small, manageable steps to make sure everything works smoothly. Each iteration focuses on fixing issues, adding new features, or making updates. This approach helps keep your site typo3 up-to-date and running well, without needing a big overhaul all at once.

Iteration in software development means improving a product in repeated steps. Instead of planning and delivering everything at once, working results are produced in short cycles, which are tested, evaluated and developed further. This approach has proven itself in TYPO3 projects.

A cycle, often called a sprint, usually lasts one to four weeks. The team selects tasks, implements them and shows the result. The customer gives feedback, and the next steps result from it. This way experiences flow in early, and wrong developments are recognised faster.

The advantage lies in transparency and flexibility. Requirements change, and iterative work allows reacting to this without endangering the overall project. Budget and time can also be controlled better because it becomes regularly visible what has been achieved.

For websites this means: first a base with the most important pages and functions is created, followed by extensions, fine-tuning and optimisation. After going live, improvement continues, for example based on evaluations and user feedback.

Prerequisites are clear priorities and a person who makes decisions. A backlog with sensibly cut tasks helps to keep an overview. Automated tests and deployments make frequent deliveries easier.

Communication is decisive: regular coordination, demos and joint planning keep everyone at the same level.

Document decisions so that later team members understand why something was implemented in a certain way.

Measure results with clear metrics to evaluate the success of each iteration.

We work iteratively in TYPO3 projects and involve you in every step.

This creates a website that really fits.

In short: TYPO3 iteration for continuous improvement.
