Besides the backend tool there are commands for the command line and extensions that automate the exchange of large amounts of data. For regular synchronisation a documented process makes sense.

Pay attention to data protection: export files can contain personal data and should be transferred encrypted and deleted afterwards.

Test import and export first with a small area before moving large structures.
