Over the past month, TYPO3’s dedicated team of experts has been working tirelessly to maintain and optimize servers. The team was actively working on creating a more convenient workflow for themselves and their users. Meanwhile, the TYPO3 community was introduced to manage user identity and provide a single sign-on service. Instead of LDAP they are now moving to SAML protocols.

TYPO3 and Fellow CMS Projects Warn of Adverse Effects of European Union Legislation

The Press release emphasizes an open letter by major Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) content management platforms, including Drupal, Joomla, TYPO3 and WordPress, addressing concerns about the proposed EU Cyber Resilience Act. While supporting software security goals, they warn against potential adverse effects on the EU's economy, innovation, and core values due to the Act's ban on "unfinished software" and unclear definitions of "commercial activity." The letter highlights FOSS projects' role in promoting EU core values, such as human dignity, freedom, democracy, and equality, and urges collaboration on shared goals.
