About Sternenfels
-----------------
Sternenfels, a historical city located just **20 km** from Pforzheim and near the **UNESCO World Heritage Site of Maulbronn**, is rich in history and community values. Administered by the **Württemberg** district of Güglingen, the town embodies a perfect blend of cultural heritage and local traditions. To better serve the community, Sternenfels decided to launch a new website. This new site has a fresh design and highlights the town’s rich culture, history, local events, and government services.
NITSAN & Pixelegg: A Collaboration for Sternenfels Website

The website relaunch required meticulous planning and smoother execution, which was made possible through strong collaboration with our **service partners Pixelegg GmbH** and **NITSAN**. Pixelegg GmbH played a vital role in **managing client communication**, **providing strategic consulting**, and offering technical support to ensure the project stayed on track and aligned with the client’s vision. Meanwhile, **NITSAN** was responsible for the **TYPO3 Development**, website redesign, and managing the **technical updates**. By combining expertise, both teams worked together smoothly to create a modern, functional, and easy-to-use website.
Goals for the Sternenfels website

The previous Sternenfels website had **cluttered content** and an unorganized structure, making it difficult for users to find information easily, the main goal of the new website is to provide easy access to city insights and serve the city people better.
The new website is designed to be lightweight, ultra-responsive, and equipped with a simple navigational menu.
- Provide a **news platform** for easy content sharing
- Develop the **city's official team** page with dynamic elements
- Built Damage report forms with advanced options
- Offer Interactive Maps for Key Locations for visitors and residents
- Highlight Local Landmarks with a Dedicated Listings Page.
- Provide **Childcare Resources** via Childminders and kindergarten sections.
- Encourage Tourism with "**Explore Sternenfels**" promoting heritage and cultural insights.

We worked closely with the city administrators to carefully plan and understand the need for presenting information. Our first step was a successful **content migration** to preserve and organize all existing data.
Next, we thank our development team for their efforts in creating the Sternenfels website in **TYPO3 v10**. Following are the features we developed for the website.
### **Clean and simple website design**
The old Sternenfels website was outdated and not responsive on all devices. Users couldn’t access pages properly from mobiles or tablets. To solve this, we redesigned the website with a fresh and simple look.

### **Easy menu navigation**
The previous website had a complicated structure, making it hard for users to find specific services. To solve this issue, we added a **Quick Access Button** where users can find all the service options in one place.

- Newsletter for monthly insights
- **Damage reporter portal** for instantly reporting issues or damages through a user-friendly portal.
### **Interactive maps**
Sternenfels has many monuments and important locations, and there was a need for a solution that can help tourists and visitors find places easily, To address this, we implemented **interactive maps** that offer a simple and efficient way to navigate in the city.
### **City Damage Reporting forms**
Previously, residents faced challenges in reporting damage or issues within the city. The process was either time-consuming or lacked proper channels for communication.
To solve this, we implemented **advanced forms for damage reports** on the new website. These forms allow residents to quickly and easily communicate issues directly to the city administration. Equipped with enhanced options for detailed reporting.
### **Council Management Panel**
The current system was not well-organized, making it difficult for town officials to share city operations, insights, and news with people.
**We implemented the following solutions.**
**Added Calendar:** For Scheduling and tracking council meetings and events.
**Contact Lists:** Easy access to team contact details.
**Implement Document Sharing:** Share agendas, minutes, and files effortlessly.
**Integrated Event Calendar:** Track and display upcoming events and meetings.
### **City Hall Team Directory page**
The website needed a page where people could easily contact admins. So, we created a **dynamic team page** to help residents connect directly.
### **All-in-One Platform for Facilities**
Residents and visitors struggled to find centralized information about Sternenfels’ educational facilities, **healthcare services**, and **cultural landmarks**.
We developed an interactive portal with quick-access pages, making it easier for users to explore.
- Detailed layouts and design for education and children's care
- **Implemented Listing pages** for Famous landmarks such as **churches, community libraries** historical sites, and religious establishments.
- A centralized information center(municipal council, tenders, job portal) connects users to Sternenfels services and attractions.
### **Better City event management**
Sternenfel city officials required a solution to effectively showcase city events and share insights with users. To meet this need, we developed an easy-to-use solution for **city event management**. This tool enables administrators to organize and manage events easily from the backend.
